Faculty members at the CTL pursue research on a range of issues related to higher education teaching and learning. The publications and projects described on this page reflect recent areas of inquiry, including reflective practice in higher education teaching, the impact of reflective processes on the development of teaching portfolios, online collaborative mentoring, blended learning models, and technology integration.

The CTL faculty also works in collaboration with other faculty at CEU to help apply research on learning in higher education and high-impact teaching practices to their work at CEU. Recent applied research activities at the CTL include the introduction of peer teaching, case-study teaching, team learning, blended learning models, rubrics for assessment, alternative approaches for student feedback, and the introduction of student reflective practices to various field experience and internship projects.
