European Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities - Call for Applications/Nominations

CEU has announced the Call for Applications/Nominations for its seventh annual European Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities. The award, launched in 2011, honors academics in the social sciences and humanities who teach at higher education institutions in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The Diener Prize of 5,000 euros, which accompanies the award, is made possible by a generous gift from Steven and Linda Diener in memory of Ilona Diener.

To be eligible, a candidate must be an instructor of any rank in the social sciences and/or humanities, currently teaching at a higher education institution in a member country of the European Higher Education Area. Current and former faculty members of CEU are not eligible.

Recommendations of excellent teaching faculty who are eligible for the award may be submitted using a brief Early-Action Recommendation form. Deadline for Early-Action Recommendations:  November 20, 2017. Deadline for full applications:  January 15, 2018.
