Jelena Belic
Jelena received her Ph.D. in political philosophy from the Central European University in 2018. Prior to joining the CTL, Jelena was a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Advanced Studies (University of Rijeka, Croatia). In 2015, she was a researcher visitor at the School of Philosophy, Australian National University. Jelena’s areas of specialization are the debates about global justice and the philosophical foundations of human rights.
Jelena earned the CTL Certificate in Excellence in Teaching in Higher Education in 2018. She was a visiting lecturer at the Department of International Relations and European Studies, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest where she taught MA and BA courses about global ethics. At the CTL, she is involved in creating the CEU Community of Scholar-Teachers, researching teaching innovations for undergraduate studies, as well as designing and teaching critical thinking courses. Jelena’s teaching interests include teaching methods in philosophy as well as the problem of justice in education.
