Working with Graduate Students in Digital Learning Environments
Focusing on the rapidly changing academic landscape, we will discuss new ways in which faculty and students can leverage technology to interrogate and work with digitized academic resources—documents, images, videos, maps, data sets, and other source material across various academic disciplines. We will look at a range of innovative academic projects around curated digital resources and explore new forms of editing, annotating, and collaboration within scholarly contexts.
Mark L. Phillipson is Director of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Teaching Center at Columbia University. Previously, at Columbia University's Center for New Media Teaching and Learning, he developed and led the Digital Bridges strategies initiative, Mediathread, Project Vietnam, and numerous other projects.
